SLA
The major difference between the SLA and DLP printer is the light source. SLA uses a laser with a wavelength of 355 nm. This produces a constant amount of light, unlike a DLP printer. Because of this, the build volume of an SLA printer does not depend on the resolution of the print. At any location within the build volume, one can print parts in high resolution. This also allows printing larger parts with very fine detailing. The Stratasys Neo SLA printer from SEIDO Solutions has a maximum build volume of 450 x 450 x 400 mm. This can be used to print several smaller parts at once or, alternatively, to digitally produce one larger part. Keep in mind that without post-treatment, the parts are more brittle and sensitive to UV light.
